CAD IndyCar Scaled Model

Objective:

Measure and model an existing item using Catia and make modifications that will improve the design.

Technical Details:

The scaled model of an IndyCar was the perfect candidate for this project as it previously had not included a working wheel and axle design. This project encompassed a variety of tools and techniques within the Catia software that were utilized in the design of this model. Thirteen different parts were modeled including the upper and lower suspension components as well as the wheel and axle system.

Results:

The project was successfully completed while also meeting all the design requirements such as making improvements to the existing design which was accomplished by adding a wheel and axle system.
