Technical Details:

The MGC-A1 is a three-stage rocket engineered for launching a reconnaissance satellite into Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

The process involved:

  1. Trajectory Planning: Precise trajectory planning using Matlab.

  2. Motor Selection: Careful motor selection for optimal performance.

  3. CATIA Modeling: Detailed modeling of rocket components, including bulkheads, fairings, and motors.

  4. Analysis: Rigorous tolerance and cost analyses to ensure mission success and cost-effectiveness.

Results:

The Launch Vehicle MGC-A1 was successfully designed meeting all tolerances except one structural weight allotment which was solved by shifting the allotted weight between two stages. Lastly, the cost analysis concluded the final price for Launch Vehicle MGC-A1 to be $14,201,936.47.
